Start a Private Career School in Mississippi
The Commission of Proprietary Schools and College
Registration is responsible for the administration of the Mississippi
Proprietary School and College Registration Law, Title 75, Chapter 60,
Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended. The purpose of the Commission on
Proprietary Schools and College Registration is to establish and
implement the registration process for schools obtaining and maintaining
a certificate of registration, and an agent's permits.
The Licensure Process To
obtain a license to operate vocational programs, a person must
first go through the Mississippi
Commission of Proprietary Schools and College
Registration’s
Certificate of Registration.

application fee is $500 and must be submitted with a Surety Bond in the
penal sum of $50,000. The application must be typed.
